Who I am

I’m originally from California, where I grew up surrounded by storytelling — on stage, on screen, and in the vibrant communities that shaped me. Theatre first pulled me in as an actor, but I quickly discovered that my passion lived behind the scenes — in shaping narratives, assembling creative teams, and bringing bold stories to life.

I moved to Charleston and co-founded the Village Repertory Company in 2001, eager to build something rooted in professional artistry and community connection. Over the years, I’ve directed and produced hundreds of productions — new works, forgotten gems, and the kind of plays that ask big questions.

For me, theatre has always been about gathering people around something meaningful. It’s messy, magical, and the most human thing I know how to do.
